Vanessa Davis is a clarinetist, pedagogue, and educational writer. She is in demand as a performer, private instructor, and clinician.
Vanessa's students have been awarded full college scholarships to prestigious music schools and have garnered top placements at the Texas, New York, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts All-State competitions. She has given masterclasses and clinics throughout the U.S.
Vanessa has performed throughout the U.S., Europe, and Canada. She frequently performs works for unaccompanied clarinet as a soloist and currently plays Bass Clarinet in the Lone Star Wind Orchestra as well as Second and Eb clarinet with the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra. She is passionate about new music and will be premiering three new works for clarinet alone at the International Clarinet Association ClarinetFest in Fort Worth, TX in 2021.
Vanessa is a Buffet Crampon Performing Artist and Clinician and plays exclusively on their instruments. She plays on Wodkowski and Chedville Mouthpieces with an Ishimori Ligature. She holds a doctorate in Clarinet Performance.
