Vanessa Davis is a clarinetist, pedagogue, and educational writer. She is a performer and clarinet teacher while giving clinics and masterclasses throughout the US and abroad.
Vanessa's students have been awarded full college scholarships to prestigious music schools for undergraduate as well as graduate study and have garnered top placements at the Texas, New York, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts All-State competitions. She has given masterclasses and clinics throughout the U.S.
Vanessa has performed throughout the U.S., Europe, and Canada. She frequently performs works for unaccompanied clarinet as a soloist and currently plays Bass Clarinet in the Lone Star Wind Orchestra as well as Second and Eb clarinet with the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra. She is passionate about new music and will be premiering three new works for clarinet alone at the International Clarinet Association ClarinetFest in Fort Worth, TX in 2021.
Vanessa is a Buffet Crampon Performing Artist and Clinician and plays exclusively on their instruments. She plays on both Wodkowski Philadelphia and Vintage Charles Chedville Mouthpieces with a silver Ishimori Ligature. She holds a doctorate in Clarinet Performance.
